Anqa Ghalib is a law graduate from Bahria University with research interests in public international law, human rights, and access to justice. Her extracurricular engagements include mooting, legal research, and student leadership, having headed the research department of her university’s mooting society. She aims to pursue further research in international law and legal reform.
This article argues that Pakistan should regulate the Jirga system through legislation and judicial oversight, preserving its cultural value while safeguarding constitutional rights and preventing coercive punishments.
